Diagnostics and Treatments
Pure tone audiometry is a behavioral test used to measure hearing sensitivity in
a person and also helps in identifying hearing thresholds , degree of hearing loss, type and configuration of a hearing loss.
A tympanometry test can assess the tympanic membrane and middle ear function and
help to detect fluid in the ear or any kind of infection.
The primary purpose of Otoacoustic Emission(OAE) tests is to determine cochlear status,specifically hair cell function. It’s a good screening test for hearing in newborn and also in children and even for adults.
An Auditory Brainstem response (ABR) test is a safe and painless test to detect possible
hearing loss and further provides informations about how the cochlea and brain pathways for hearing are working.
The Electrocochleography is an objective test to measure the electrical potentials generated in the inner ear as a result of sound stimulation. This is useful in the diagnosis of Meniere’s disease and other disorders.
These are the diagnostic tests to record involuntary movements of the eye caused by a
condition known as nystagmus. It can also be used for diagnosis the cause of vertigo, dizziness or balance dysfunction by testing vestibular system.
The vestibular evoked myogenic potential is a neurophysiological assessment technique used to determine the function of the otolithic organs of the inner ear.
Craniocorpography (CCG) is a neuro-tological investigation to evaluate the vestibulospinal reflex, which is responsible for the maintenance of balance during gait testing.

Middle Latency Response and Long Latency Response are the components of auditory evoked potential response used to diagnose certain auditory condition. These types of testing can provide the physician with very useful informations about hearing loss in a patient.
P300 is evoked potential response helps in diagnosing various neurological or psychiatric diseases and disorder of cognitive functioning.
Normal Eustachian tube function is necessary for maintaining healthy middle ear conditions. E-tube test is very effective in checking for any signs of infection or blockages in the Eustachian tube.

A cochlear Implant is a surgically implanted device to provide a person with moderate to profound sensorineural hearing loss .Unlike Hearing aids, which amplify sound, a cochlear implant bypasses damaged portion of the ear to deliver sound signals to the auditory nerve.
